Hello my friends,
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I hope the prevailing variant and inclement weather didn’t dampen your holiday plans.
I started CMMN WLTH almost a year ago today with the goal of getting myself out of a creative and intellectual rut.
I ran the idea - of sending a weekly newsletter curating the best insights I read and watch - past a few of you and it was clear I wasn’t alone.
The discipline of sending a weekly newsletter has fortunately remedied my lack of inspiration. The unexpected but exponential upside continues to come from the long term connections I’ve made with many of you.
From the beginning, I committed to building in public and as I look back on this first year I wanted to share a few of the highlights with you:
The first edition went to 8 subscribers.
It now lands in 187 inboxes and counting.
100% organic growth. Thanks to those of you who continue to click share.
Open rate average above 50%. (Newsletter avg. 12 - 25%)
I read/watched >2500 pieces of content in search of the best signal.
And shared 490 pieces of it with you.
Below is a brief wrap of the year and some thoughts on the future of CMMN WLTH.
I hope you continue to find these notes valuable and, as always, I appreciate your precious time and attention.
