5 Ways to Use AI to Make Better Products + A Bonus List of Useful AI Tools.
CMMN WLTH - Cheat Codes for Creators, Makers & Doers
Web 3 Summer, Crypto Winter….
While Web 3 and Crypto have still to prove their broader use case (prove me wrong), the new kid on the block, Artificial Intelligence, has struck an equal measure of intrigue and fear into writers, designers, and programmers.
AI Chat Bots in particular have found unprecedented popularity, with OpenAI’s Chat GPT hitting 100m users only two months after launch. For context, it took Instagram over two years to gain the same traction.
However, most people don’t know how to use AI Chat Bots to their advantage.
Using a bit of trial and error I’ve found 5 prompts that generate useful outputs and will save you a ridiculous amount of time.
They can help you:
Summarize insights from a large document like an annual report.
Create a product brief outline.
Proofread your work to ensure it’s free of errors.
Generate survey questions for consumer insights.
Find relevant industry insights and provide a list of citations.
Each one can be adapted to your industry or use case by editing the text in the prompt line.
If you find this post useful do me a favor and hit the heart ♥ button at the top of the page to help others find it.
And sharing it on your socials is always appreciated.
Note: I use Type.AI but these will work with all popular AI Chat Bots.
1. Summarize Insights From a Large Document
Analyze long reports and find the information you need in seconds.
Prompt: “Create a bullet point summary of the annual report in this link: (https)://ir.allbirds(dot)com/static-files/. Focus on product strategy and retail.”
CMMN WLTH is a reader-supported newsletter. To receive new posts and support it, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
2. Create a Product Brief Outline
Instead of starting with a blank page ask AI to help you draft a product brief for a creative team.
Prompt: “Help me create a product brief for travel gym equipment that addresses the problem of consumers not being able to work out while they are traveling. Focus on the portability and lightweight of the product first.”
Get another pair of eyes on important work and ensure it’s free from errors.
Prompt: (Copy & paste text that you want to be reviewed). “I have written a draft update for my boss with some questions for them to answer. Can you review it and share any suggestions on how I can make it better?”
4. Generate Survey Questions
Get help creating surveys for getting insights from consumers.
Prompt: “I want to know more about consumers’ workout frequency and what equipment they use on a regular basis. Can you create 5 survey questions to ask them?”
5. Analyze Market Trends
Find relevant industry insights with a list of citations.
Prompt: “Provide a report on the current market trends in the US fitness industry and cite all sources.”
I’ll continue to share my findings with you as I discover more.
In the meantime, here’s a bonus list of useful AI-powered tools:
