Polymorphic Moulding by Fyous
“The moulds are infinitely reconfigurable, allowing you to create precise custom products again, and again, and again, all with the same machine.”
Disrupting an old industry: Manufacturing is constrained by the time and cost of mould making. British innovator, Fyous (great name) is changing that with their “PolyMorphic” moulding technology.
How it works: The shapeshifting mould is comprised of a plate with 50,000 densely packed, individually controlled pins. The result is a zero-waste process that takes minutes vs. days (3D printing) or weeks (CNC machining).
Future potential: Going beyond custom footwear and orthotics and into production mould making for footwear, toys and complex, high turnover consumer goods.

Captaincy by Seth Godin
“The difference between a successful artist and a painter is that the artist becomes captain of the creative arc, determining where and when to show up and what impact they seek to make.”
“Captaincy”: A specific, high value type of leadership that transcends titles, management and entrepreneurship.
Characteristics of the Captain: Takes responsibility, changes the outcome (of meetings), creates unexpected improvements, sets the tempo and leans into friction.
Agnostic of organizational level: Captaincy is a skill and a choice, not an inherent talent or a job title.

How to Remember Everything You Read
“Don’t underestimate pen-and-paper systems. Many top performers keep paper notebooks, index cards or physical journals as part of their workflow”
Active processing is essential for encoding new information: Effective recall requires you to actively engage with the material to create strong memory traces. Treat reading like a conversation, forcing your brain to process and rephrase ideas.
Long-term memory relies on spacing and retrieval: To move knowledge into long-term memory, you must employ two scientifically proven techniques that capitalize on how your brain consolidates information 1. Spaced Repetition - repeated review of the material over increasing intervals. 2. Active Recall -
True understanding is proving you can teach it: The highest-level of learning is synthesis which involves connecting and simplifying new ideas to make them practical. You haven’t truly mastered a concept until you can clearly explain it to someone else.
