Hello my friends,
Is it just me or are we having fewer big ideas?
If you’re working remotely it could be a symptom of:
Not being able to collaborate in person reducing the psychological safety that ideas need to propagate.
Virtual collaboration making it easier to share an opinion. Without visible body language, proving you’re engaged in a meeting, encourages verbal and written (using the chat function) proof.
More than ever, sharing ideas is difficult, sharing an opinion not so much.
If this sounds familiar then Sir Jony Ive’s commencement speech is exactly what you need to hear right now ↓
In summary:
Opinions are not ideas. Opinions are not as important as ideas.
Be truly open, inquisitive, and curious.
Wanting to learn is far more important than being right.
You’re being given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reset, reinvent and rebuild.
Think big and don’t let anyone devalue your ideas.
Let’s get into it,
